Ten businesses in an inner Melbourne suburb have been damaged in a blaze after a building was ram-raided and set alight.
About 80 firefighters swarmed the building on Victoria St, Richmond at about 4.15am on Monday.

Offenders had driven a vehicle through the front of a tobacco shop before setting the store alight and fleeing the scene, Victoria Police say.
No one was inside the building at the time.

Ten businesses within the building have been impacted by the flames.
The fire was brought under control shortly before 6am, but a smoke warning remains in place for the area.
Victoria St has been closed in both directions between Church Street and Lennox Street, VicTraffic reports, with tram commuters told to expect delays.
