Jai Arrow has revealed he has wed his long-time partner Berina Colakovic in a “special” ceremony, months after his devastating MND diagnosis.

The pair, who got engaged in Italy in 2024, held an intimate ceremony in Sydney with their one-year-old daughter Ayla Rosa.

On Tuesday, his now-wife posted on Instagram to confirm the pair had married in secret and shared images of the intimate elopement.

“We did a thing 💍,” she wrote.

“Don’t know how Italy will top this one but we can’t wait to celebrate with all our family and friends,” she continued.

“An extra special thank you to our family friends The Beath’s for witnessing our special day and watching our little angel.

“I am in awe of how amazing people are thank you to Maddi, Lucy, Jazz, and everyone who gave their time to make this elopement a very extra special one.”

The ceremony coincided with the player’s birthday week, with the sports legend turning 31 on Sunday.

The newlyweds have received an outpouring of support, with comments on their social media congratulating the pair on their nuptials.

“Congratulations, most beautiful pictures I have ever seen,” one person wrote, while another said: “This is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen”.

The NRL great hung up the boots earlier this year after revealing his fight with moto neurone disease and announcing his medical retirement.

The former South Sydney Rabbitohs and Queensland Origin forward was recently honoured at the AFL’s King’s Birthday clash during the annual Fight MND Big Freeze in Melbourne.

A GoFundMe campaign set up to support the rugby legend and his family, has received more than 3000 donations, raising more than $200,000.
