Bengaluru: The investigation into a person’s death, which is thought to have occurred about a year ago, has been initiated by Bagalagunte police after the discovery of her skeletal remains inside a residence in Havanur Layout.
Dakshayini, 52, who had lost both her husband and son, was found living only. After neighbors alerted them about the house’s bath on Friday night, August 8, police discovered the skeleton in the home.
Around 8 PM, neighbors reported that the house’s door, which had been closed for nearly a year, had opened. They contacted the police because they worried an attacker may have broken into the home. The house was searched after a Bagalagunte police stop crew reached it and discovered the skeletal remains.
Investigators are awaiting a investigative report.
The exact cause and conditions of Dakshayini’s death are still being investigated by authorities. Researchers are awaiting the statement, and the bones have been transported to the forensic science labs.
Umesh, Dakshayini’s father, passed away about ten years ago, according to police, while their child passed away from cancer. Dakshayini apparently lived alone after the two incidents.
After her household members died, her brother, Mahesh Basappa, revealed to the police that she had been having despair. She was apparently receiving dementia after going through therapy in hospitals in Bengaluru and Shivamogga.
According to the authorities, Dakshayini had slowly gotten disoriented and had stopped interacting with her relatives. She had not spoken to the community for nearly two years, according to her nephew.
After authorities informed him of the revelation and matched the remains, Mahesh returned to the residence. According to reports, he reportedly told investigators that he had no suspicions of foul play and that his daughter’s suicide had not been his.
Under Section 194 of the BNSS, authorities have registered an strange death situation. Officials are looking into the circumstances surrounding her death and waiting for the investigative findings to make up their minds about the upcoming activity.
