A 10-year-old girl is missing two days after she was last seen and following a communications mishap which saw police claim she had been located.
Lyndel Ningella, 10, remains missing on Monday after she was last seen leaving a property in Butler about 5.45pm on Saturday.
Police said she was wearing a black jumper and shorts.
“It is believed she may have travelled to the Kwinana, Leda, Parmelia or Wellard areas.”
“Lyndel is described as approximately 160cm tall, of medium build, with long brown hair with blonde ends and brown eyes.”
WA Police initially said she had been located on Monday afternoon around 1pm — minutes after issuing a media release appealing for information about the missing child.
It wasn’t until 3.20pm that police clarified the girl was still missing, with a spokesperson stating “miscommunication” was to blame for the error.
Anyone who sights Lyndell is asked to contact police immediately on 131 444.
