A UFO filmmaker has urged King Charles to back the release of the UK’s secret files relating to potential alien encounters.
Mark Christopher Lee – who directed the documentaries The King of UFOs and The Rendlesham UFO – is convinced Britain needs to follow in the footsteps of President Donald Trump’s American government by releasing documentation linked to UAPs (unidentified anomalous phenomena) and he wants the monarch to step in.
Lee said: “President Trump’s administration is releasing UFO files, standing up a science advisory council, and treating this as a matter of national importance.
“Britain cannot pretend the sky over Rendlesham Forest [in the UK] and the rest of the United Kingdom is empty.
“The King has spent his life arguing that humanity’s relationship with the Earth matters. Humanity’s relationship with the cosmos matters too. The Crown has survived by adapting. This is the ultimate test.”
Lee went on to insist the UK is lagging behind after the Ministry of Defence (MOD) stopped maintaining reports relating to UAPs back in 2009 because officials believed there was no credible threat to the UK – and the filmmaker is convinced the country’s position on the matter is becoming untenable as the USA continues to release files relating to mysterious sightings.
He added: “Britain hosted one of the best-documented military UFO cases on Earth at Rendlesham, on what was then a NATO base,.
“Viewers of my Rendlesham film have independently reported orb activity while watching it. That is not a party trick. That is the phenomenon answering back.
“We need a British equivalent of America’s AARO, open archives, and an honest conversation with the public.”
Lee concluded: “It does not need to land on the White House lawn or Buckingham Palace. It is already in our skies, our military ranges, our nuclear sites, and – for some of us – our bedrooms.”
Lee’s film The King Of UFOs examines the royal family’s links in UFOs and the paranormal and includes claims that King Charles flew an actual UFO in Canada in 1975.
The film features an interview with Canadian diver Dan Costello who claims to have witnessed Charles – then Prince of Wales – as one of three pilots flying a prototype UFO at Sandy Point in Nova Scotia.
Costello claimed the craft was shaped like a UFO and emitted a blue ionic flame which scorched the earth below and turned the soil to grass.
He states that Charles was stationed on the nearby HMS Endeavour as a Helicopter pilot and was drafted in on what was called Project Serpico.
Costellos said: “The craft had dual rotor blades like a helicopter but it would also just sit and hover in the sky with the blades not on and with no sound of propulsion just a faint crackle of electro magnetism. I don’t think it was extra terrestrial but might be technology developed by Nikolai Tesla who had a facility here and now this was being used by the US, Canadian and British Military.”
Lee researched Costello’s claims and found validity to them and found evidence that the technology might be what US military personnel such as David Grusch have claimed to have seen at first hand.
Lee added: “What if what we are all seeing in the sky and thinking are extra terrestrial spacecraft are actually just a secret highly advanced earthbound technology? What if Prince Charles was involved with this project – does King Charles know the truth about UFOs?
“If so he should release this truth to the public. We deserve to know!”
Lee wrote to King Charles to ask him about this 1975 event at Sandy Point but did not receive a reply.
said: “King Charles could ask for a briefing by his ministers on UFOs and discreetly enquire about what is in the so called X Files and find out what the truth is. “From making this film we know that the king has a huge interest in UFO and other worldly matters. “The king should use his position top push for the release of the British X Files – the public deserves to know the truth.” And the filmmaker has also suggested UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer should have UFO hearings in parliament, similar to meetings in the US congress. He said: “This is not fringe conspiracy theories anymore. The UK’s politicians need to take this seriously. The public deserves to know the truth. We are closer than ever to finding evidence of intelligent life in our galaxy – are we prepared for first contact? This will create a new galactic era of politics – Exo politics and will need new thinking. “UFOs or UAPs as they are now known are taken very seriously in the US both by notable scientists such as Prof Avi Loeb from Harvard and by politicians, with both Republican and Democrats calling for the US Government to release the truth about UFOs. We need the same in the UK scientists and politicians need to step up – there is something unidentified in the skies that people are seeing all over the world it’s not a jokey thing anymore.”
