With just 39 days until Telethon 2026 some of Australia’s biggest music, television and sporting names have been locked in to descend on RAC Arena for the annual 26-hour celebration of WA’s sick kids.
Australian entertainer Jessica Mauboy will return to the Telethon stage, bringing her powerhouse vocals and infectious energy to the opening and closing ceremonies on October 17 and 18.
Country music star Morgan Evans will make his Telethon debut, while Natalie Bassingthwaighte’s Rogue Traders will bring their electronic beats, rock energy and anthems to the arena.
“We are coming to WA for Telethon, it’s our first time, we cannot wait, we’re so excited,” Bassingthwaighte said.
“It’s such a beautiful time to bring the community together and support all kids in need,” band mate James Ash added.
“It’s going to be huge, we’ll see you there.”
The trio will join an already packed lineup featuring The Voice coach Kate Miller-Heidke, who will also make her Telethon debut, longtime Telethon favourite Phil Burton and Reece Mastin, who will return for the first time in more than a decade.
“I’m coming back after many years, I’m bringing the band, we’re playing a couple of songs to help raise some money for an amazing cause,” Mastin, a past winner of X Factor Australia, said.
“From what I remember of it, it was always such an amazing atmosphere backstage that translated on the screen and always raised an incredible amount of money.
“We’ve got a few tunes to play but we’re also going to be answering phones the whole nine yards.
“The countdown starts now, see you there.”
Human Nature’s Burton is eager to once again immerse himself in the spirit of Telethon and help raise money for those who need it most.
“Being part of the WA Telethon is such a unique experience and a wonderful experience because not only do you get to see the incredible amount of money that is raised for all of the children’s charities across the State, but you also get to see firsthand the joy in being a part of this and the community spirit that it fosters amongst everyone,” he said.
“It’s like nothing I’ve experienced anywhere else in the world ever and I cannot wait to be a part of it again this year.”
The 60 Four, The Ten Tenors, Mark Vincent, Gisella Colletti and Boox Kid will also take to the stage.
The entertainment across the 26-hour marathon broadcast stretches well beyond music.
AFL premiership stars Shane Crawford, Kane Cornes and Campbell Brown will return, alongside roaming BT Brian Taylor and Perth favourite Ben Cousins.
Fans will also see familiar faces from Channel 7, with stars from Home and Away, Better Homes and Gardens, Sunrise, The Morning Show and The Chase joining the 7NEWS Perth team and local sporting heroes.
And, of course, Telethon’s much-loved mascot Fat Cat will be there.
But behind the celebrity line-up is a far bigger purpose.
Telethon will once again shine a light on the people, organisations and stories helping sick and vulnerable children across the State.
The 2025 event raised a record-breaking $90.1 million, with the money supporting 147 children’s charities and organisations across the State.
