Sandra Bullock will always prioritise her children over her acting career.
The 62-year-old movie star – who has Louis, 16, and Laila, 12 – has revealed that she now organises her career plans around her kids and their busy schedules.
Sandra told Interview magazine: “If the kids can’t be with me, I’m not going.
“The older they get, the bigger their schedules. And their schedules are more important than me telling a story, period.
“I don’t have that same drive to be in front of the camera. I get my fulfilment from the prep, the building of it, rather than the ‘Hey, I’m an actor and look at what I’ve done.’ That scares me actually, because then the judgement comes.”
Sandra also admitted to feeling “lost” without her children.
The film star said: “Unless the kids are with me, I’m lost.”
Despite her fame and success, Sandra has always been an intensely private person.
The actress explained: “I’ve been insanely private since I was a little kid.
“I drove my mother crazy. That’s just inherently who I am. I love being in a safe group. Nothing makes me happier than coming to your house and hanging with everybody, but then you have situations where people take your privacy and sell it.
“But I love telling stories and it’s our job to go out there and represent. And once I get out there, I have a blast.”
Meanwhile, Lily Collins previously recalled being “mothered” by Sandra on the set of The Blind Side.
The 37-year-old actress starred alongside Sandra in the 2009 sports drama movie, and Lily still has fond memories of working with the Hollywood star.
The brunette beauty told Sky News: “My first film, I was mothered by Sandra Bullock, and she really took me under her wing during that experience and showed me the ropes.
“Even when she didn’t know she was teaching me, she was teaching me because I would watch her on set … the way that she spoke to everyone, treated everyone, the questions she asked, and how she just valued her character in ways that I didn’t know going into it that you can value, or things that you can ask or the right that you have to, you know, bring your own ideas.”
