The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are settling back into life in the UK, with their main focus on getting their children enrolled in school, according to an Australian royal reporter with exclusive palace sources.
On Wednesday, entertainment and royal reporter Bronte Coy, spoke on The Morning Show and detailed how Harry and Meghan have been “laying pretty low,” while navigating their controversial return to British soil.

Coy also made a bombshell revelation that while Harry and King Charles haven’t met up face to face yet, they have spoken on the phone.
“I can tell you, actually, just from this morning, I’ve heard. They haven’t met face to face yet. But my understanding is that they have spoken on the phone,” she said.
This contradicts reports in British media that the pair had not yet been in direct contact.
The couple knew they were entering divisive territory with their move back to the UK, but Harry has “really missed his home country,” according to sources close to the Sussexes.
“The major thing has been getting the kids into school,” Coy said. “That’s been a major focus. I think they’ve been laying pretty low while they figure all that out,” the news.com.au reporter said.
The reunion with family has been a huge part of their decision to return, with the King not having seen his grandchildren for four years.
However, tensions have emerged over a letter from King Charles stating the couple will not be returning as working royals. Coy revealed Harry and Meghan were only shown the letter about an hour before it was released publicly.
“I do think this has landed quite, yeah, I think they were unpleasantly surprised that that went out,” she said.
The letter rehashed terms from the Sandringham summit six years ago, but Coy said there’s been no indication the couple want to become working royals again.
The couple now faces the challenge of navigating their public activities without clashing with the King and the Prince and Princess of Wales.
“It’s much easier to kind of keep it separate because as the US jazz hands look, it is a very different thing when they’re in another country,” Coy explained. “But effectively now it does have the appearance, even if they’re not trying to, of a rival court.”
Harry is expected to attend his WellChild event next week, but otherwise the couple may take a “softly, softly approach” while settling in.
Meanwhile, Prince George has started at Eton College, following in the footsteps of his father Prince William and uncle Prince Harry. The school is just 15 minutes’ drive from the family home, allowing Kate to keep him close.
Eton has a robust privacy policy for students, with reports the school provides brick phones rather than smartphones to protect student privacy in the age of social media.
