Toyota is set to update the Glanza in India with a facelift on October 14. The premium hatchback will follow the latest Maruti Suzuki Baleno, with the two models expected to share several mechanical and feature upgrades.
The Glanza facelift is likely to receive the same new 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine that debuted with the updated Baleno. Toyota could also introduce additional safety and convenience features, including ADAS and ventilated front seats.

Toyota Glanza facelift: New engine likely
The biggest change under the skin is expected to be the switch from the current 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol engine to Maruti Suzuki’s Z12E 1.2-litre naturally aspirated three-cylinder unit. In the Baleno, this engine produces 83bhp and 112Nm.
Transmission options are expected to include a five-speed manual and AMT. The Glanza could also continue with a CNG powertrain, with the CNG version expected to produce around 70bhp and be paired with a manual gearbox.
Glanza facelift could get a sharper face
Toyota is likely to keep the visual changes relatively restrained. While the Glanza already has a distinct front-end compared with the Baleno, the facelift could bring a redesigned grille and front bumper to give it a fresher appearance.
The headlamps, alloy wheels and rear bumper are expected to remain largely unchanged, keeping the overall design familiar.
ADAS and ventilated seats among expected new features
The interior is also expected to retain its existing layout, but Toyota could add several features introduced on the facelifted Baleno. These may include a Level 2 ADAS suite, ventilated front seats, a wireless phone charger with cooling and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
However, features such as a sunroof and a digital instrument cluster are not expected to make it to the Glanza facelift.
Toyota Glanza facelift: Expected price and rivals
With the additional equipment and mechanical updates, the facelifted Glanza is likely to command a modest premium over the current model, which is priced between Rs 6.73 lakh and Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Glanza will continue to compete in the premium hatchback segment, taking on the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Hyundai i20 and Tata Altroz.
