The CCTV footage shows the car approaching the pedestrian at speed before hitting him. Further details about the victim and the driver were not immediately available.

The incident comes amid several fatal road accidents reported in and around Nangloi in recent months.

In August, a 73-year-old man and his 23-year-old son were killed near Surajmal Stadium in Nangloi after an unidentified vehicle hit the vehicle they were travelling in. Police had launched an investigation and were examining CCTV footage to identify the vehicle and its driver.

In October 2025, a 60-year-old woman, Neema Devi, died after being hit by a black Scorpio while crossing the road near Nangloi’s wholesale flower market. The driver fled the spot, and police registered a case and examined CCTV footage to trace the vehicle.

Earlier this year, a DTC cluster bus collided with several vehicles and pedestrians on the Najafgarh-Nangloi Road, killing two people and injuring others. The March accident also led to protests, with an angry crowd damaging and setting buses on fire.

In August, another accident on the Najafgarh-Nangloi Road killed a 24-year-old man after a DTC bus collided with a scooter carrying three people. Two others were injured in the crash.

The latest incident has once again brought attention to road safety in the Outer Delhi area, while police investigation into the fatal collision continues.
