Man killed during car washing dispute in Patna; family protests with victim’s body

A dispute between two groups during car washing turned violent in Bihar’s Patna City, leaving a man dead and his son injured. After the incident, the man’s family staged a protest with his body, demanding strict action against the accused.

According to police, an argument broke out between the two sides while a vehicle was being washed. The dispute soon escalated into a physical altercation, during which the attackers assaulted the man with sharp-edged weapons.

The victim sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a hospital for treatment. However, he died late on Saturday night while undergoing treatment.

The victim’s son was also injured in the attack. He said his father was stabbed during the altercation and was taken to hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Talking about the incident, the victim’s son said, “My brother came and told my father that a few people had beaten him up. When my father and I went to see what had happened, they attacked us as well. They used scissors and knives. My father sustained serious injuries, which led to his death.”

He also named Deepak Kumar, Chandan Kumar and Ranjan Kumar as the main accused in the case.

Meanwhile, Raj Kishor Singh, a senior police officer in Patna City, said that some people attacked the victims with a sharp object following the dispute. Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident, and efforts are underway to identify and arrest those involved.

FAMILY STAGES PROTEST

Following the man’s death, his family members staged a protest with his body and blocked a portion of the road.

Demanding justice, they urged the administration to arrest the accused.

Local police spoke with the family members and assured them that an investigation was underway and that concrete action would be taken against those accused in the case.
