An 11-year-old boy is in a serious condition after he was shot in the face while inside a home.
Emergency services rushed to a property on Fairway Drive in Norwest, Sydney’s Hills District, about 5pm on Monday.
Officers found the young boy at the property shot in the face and neck.
“Initial inquiries indicate the shooting occurred inside the home,” a NSW Police spokesperson said.
Paramedics rendered assistance at the scene, advising police they would take the boy to hospital in a serious condition.
The five others present in the home at the time of the shooting were uninjured.
Police have established a crime scene and an investigation is underway.
