The Demons couldn’t have hoped for a better start – kicking three goals to none against a Roos side that just couldn’t bring the ball out of defence with any regularity.

Kearney was not happy with a holding the ball decision and gave the umpire a spray.
Mia Austin ended up with a kick within range and she booted the second goal.
“I think you will find that is strong feedback,” commentator Jack Heverin said on Kayo.

Megan Fitzsimon has booted the opening goal for the Demons after a feisty start at IKON Park.
Erika O’Shea leapt on top of Tayla Harris in an attempt to tackle her early on.
But Harris did well minutes later to win a free kick and send the ball forward towards Fitzsimon.
