Amid growing attention around his daughter Rhiti Tiwari’s stint on Bigg Boss 20, actor-politician Manoj Tiwari has reacted to social media claims that he used his influence to get her a spot on the reality show. Rhiti’s behaviour inside the house, particularly her recent clashes with Qazi Touqeer and Uditi Singh, has sparked discussion among viewers.
Addressing the speculation during a recent media interaction, Manoj said he was not even aware that Rhiti had been finalised for the show and only found out about it later.

The controversy was also discussed during Weekend Ka Vaar, when Salman Khan questioned Rhiti about her language, attitude and the incident. The conversation eventually turned to her identity as Manoj’s daughter and whether her family name had played a role in her recognition.
Reacting to the social media claims about his alleged involvement in Rhiti’s casting, Manoj asked people not to take the events inside the Bigg Boss house too seriously. Having previously been a contestant himself, he described the reality show as a game where something or the other keeps happening throughout the day.
“Bachchon ka Bigg Boss hai, karne do. Social media par yeh bhi likh rahe hain ki kisi pairavi se maine usse Bigg Boss mein bheja hai. Pehle toh mujhe pata hi nahi tha ki woh Bigg Boss mein jaa rahi hai. Bigg Boss ek khel hai, wahan 24 hours kuch na kuch ho raha hai. Isliye usko dekh kar kisi ko unduly upset nahi hona chahiye. Main bhi Bigg Boss mein raha hoon. Woh ek khel hai, uska anand lijiye,” he said.

The controversy surrounding Rhiti began during a captaincy task that featured contestants participating in a rap-style diss battle. Rhiti was up against Uditi, while Qazi stepped in to represent her. During the exchange, Rhiti made abusive and derogatory remarks about both contestants, with some of her comments muted during the telecast.
Rhiti later defended her language, saying the words were slang and worked better with the rhyme. She also told Qazi that her father would “deal with him outside the house”.
The incident later became a talking point during Weekend Ka Vaar, with Salman questioning Rhiti about her conduct and the way she handled the clash. The discussion also brought her family background into focus, prompting questions about whether being Manoj Tiwari’s daughter had influenced her journey on the show.
During the episode, the Ek Tha Tiger actor also addressed Rhiti’s claim of being a rockstar and contrasted it with Qazi’s journey.
He said, “Whatever Qazi did in the beginning, he took the audience in confidence. They really liked it, and after that, when everyone was against him, he handled it very gracefully. I confronted him because I knew he would do that, because for 20 years, after being a rockstar, he didn’t get work. He didn’t get the respect or fame he wanted, and he lived through that. The problem is that only you are calling yourself a rockstar; no one else is.”
