This spring, experience the City of Rockingham’s iconic Castaways Sculpture Awards as it returns to the Rockingham Foreshore from 24 October to 1 November 2026.
Named after the discarded items found on local beaches, Castaways is an annual sculptural exhibition that transforms the Rockingham Foreshore into a vibrant outdoor gallery, featuring innovative artworks created from recycled and repurposed materials.
Featuring three distinct exhibitions – including the Main Exhibition, the Maquette and Small Sculpture Exhibition, and the Schools Exhibition – Castaways showcases the creativity and talent of Western Australian artists.
Proudly supported by Fremantle Ports with a $27,250 prize pool, this free event offers visitors the opportunity to immerse themselves in free Tactile Tours and Artist Talks throughout the exhibition.
These experiences offer insights into the artworks, the artists behind them, and the creative process of transforming castaway materials into striking artworks.
Join us on the Rockingham foreshore to celebrate artistic innovation and environmental awareness.
