A woman has been charged with manslaughter over an alleged road rage incident in Bega, in southeastern NSW, that ended with the death of a 73-year-old man.
Police allege the man was struck by a vehicle on Newtown Rd before later dying in hospital.
Emergency services were called to Newtown Rd about 12.30pm on August 31 after reports a man had been hit by a vehicle.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the 73-year-old at the scene before taking him to South East Regional Hospital in a serious condition.
Police were notified the next day that the man had died in hospital.
After several weeks of inquiries, officers carried out two search warrants about 8.20am on Wednesday, one at a home in Wyndham and another at a business in South Pambula.
During those searches, police seized a silver Holden SUV believed to be linked to the investigation, along with other items that will now undergo forensic examination.
A 41-year-old woman was arrested and taken to Bega Police Station, where she was charged with manslaughter.
She was refused bail and is due to appear in court on Thursday.
