Actor Keegan Allen, best known for playing Toby Cavanaugh in the hit series Pretty Little Liars, has shared a disturbing account of being robbed and assaulted at gunpoint in West Hollywood. The 37-year-old actor said two masked men hit him on the head, threatened to kill him and stole his watch outside an upscale grocery store on Wednesday night.
Allen posted a video on Instagram late Thursday, apparently recorded shortly after the attack. With blood on his face and visibly shaken, he described how the men confronted him outside Laurel Supply, pointed a gun and a knife at him, grabbed his watch and fled.

“I was just robbed of my watch outside of Laurel Supply. These two dudes hit me in the head and pointed a gun at me with a knife and then took off,” he said in the video, before expressing his frustration over the stolen watch.
In the caption accompanying the video, Allen shared more details about the ordeal, claiming the attackers had threatened to kill him over the watch. “West Hollywood is not safe anymore (sic),” he wrote. “I’ve been robbed at gunpoint and knifepoint by two young men” who “threatened to KILL me over my watch,” he added.
Reflecting on how close the encounter came to turning fatal, the actor added, “God said no tonight. My life for a watch.”
Allen also appealed for help in identifying the attackers and said he would share further updates. He questioned whether the area’s Flock surveillance cameras could help track down the suspects, tagging Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and California Governor Gavin Newsom in his post.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, emergency personnel from the Los Angeles County Fire Department medically evaluated the victim at the scene. He was not taken to a hospital by the responding team, reported The Hollywood Reporter.
Allen later said in the comments on his Instagram post that he was in hospital and had suffered a concussion. The investigation is ongoing.
Allen played Toby Cavanaugh throughout all seven seasons of Pretty Little Liars, the teen mystery drama that followed a group of friends whose lives unravel after the disappearance of their friend Alison DiLaurentis. The series ran from 2010 to 2017 and became a popular fixture of young-adult television.
