Model Cindy Crawford and her husband, businessman Rande Gerber, have paid an emotional tribute to their son, Presley Gerber, a month after his death at the age of 27. Their daughter, model Kaia Gerber, also remembered her brother in a heartfelt message on social media.
Presley died on September 20 at a rehabilitation facility, according to records from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner. The cause of his death has not been disclosed.

On Sunday, October 18, Cindy and Rande shared a joint statement on Instagram, expressing their grief over the loss of their son.
“We are beyond heartbroken to lose our beloved son and brother,” the statement read. “We feel so blessed to have had Presley in our lives for 27 years.”
Describing him as a kind and sensitive person, they added, “He is a sweet, beautiful soul who loved and is loved, now and forever. We are so proud of how he showed up in the world, with kindness and vulnerability.”
The couple also thanked those who had reached out to support their family during the difficult time. “We are grateful for the outpouring of love and support from so many who know and love our family and even strangers who feel our pain,” they wrote.
The message ended with the words, “Til we meet again our sweet boy,” and was signed by Cindy, Rande and Kaia.
Kaia Gerber remembers her brother
Kaia also shared a series of photographs and videos featuring moments she had spent with Presley. In a letter addressed to her older brother, she spoke about the difficulty of putting her grief into words.
“Prez, I don’t have the words. Maybe the tiny mercy is that we didn’t need them all along,” she wrote.
Kaia admitted that she was struggling to understand the loss, adding that she could not fully express its magnitude. She also reflected on how much being Presley’s sister meant to her.
“You know how much I loved being your sister. It has always been, and will forever be, my favourite thing about myself,” she wrote.
Remembering him as someone who had a lasting influence on her life, Kaia described Presley as “inherently good” and her “ultimate teacher”. She also shared memories of their childhood as she tried to come to terms with his absence.
“I am learning how to love you when I cannot see you,” she wrote, describing how difficult it was to imagine a life in which she could no longer call or reach out to him.
Kaia ended the letter by recalling their close bond, calling Presley her “best buddy” and “great protector”. She added, “You lit all of my candles and took all of my monsters away, and I love you.”
The post featured the song First I Was by Jake Minch, which Kaia said was the last thing she and her brother had discussed.
Several celebrities, including Taylor Lautner, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Suki Waterhouse and Paris Hilton, expressed their condolences in the comments.
Hilton wrote that she was heartbroken for the family and remembered Presley as someone special whom she felt fortunate to have known.
Who was Presley Gerber?
Presley was the eldest child of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber. He entered the modelling industry at 15, signing with IMG Models, and went on to work with international fashion brands, including Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana and Bottega Veneta.
He had also spoken publicly about his struggles with depression and substance abuse.
