Ravi Kishan, who has worked in Bhojpuri and Hindi cinema before entering politics, described playing Lord Ram as a great privilege. He urged young people to read about the lives and teachings of the three deities and draw inspiration from their values.
Speaking to the media, he said, “I urge young people to read about Lord Ram, Lord Krishna and Lord Shiva. Whenever you face depression or difficulties in life, spirituality helps us overcome them. I come from a humble background, and today the world knows me through cinema and as the MP from Gorakhpur. I urge everyone to devote at least half an hour daily to meditation. Spirituality, Sanatan traditions, culture and religion give us the strength to overcome difficulties.”
The actor said he had previously portrayed Lord Parshuram and Kevat, while he had played Goddess Sita during his childhood. However, taking on the role of Lord Ram was a different experience and came with a greater sense of responsibility. He expressed hope that, with Lord Ram’s blessings, he would be able to perform the role with sincerity and dedication.
Ravi Kishan also spoke about the importance of spirituality in dealing with life’s challenges. He said faith and spiritual values could help people develop mental strength and find the courage to overcome difficult situations.
Emphasising the need to understand Indian culture and religious traditions, the actor said spirituality could offer support when people were going through difficult phases of life.
His portrayal of Lord Ram has received mixed reactions from viewers on social media.
