Zubair Meenai, the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, did preside over the five-member commission.

The leader will also be Neelofar Afzal, Dean of Students ‘ Welfare, Aslam Khan of the National Medical College and Public Relations Department, Luqman Ahmad Khan, Dean of the Faculty of Life Sciences, M. The committee will examine the factors that led to the students ‘ union’s collapse in 2006, as well as the pertinent court decisions and Lyngdoh Committee ( 2007 ) recommendations.

By December 20th, it has been requested to consult with all parties involved, including kids. A draft proposal must be submitted.

A high-level commission will meet with protesting students on October 18 to discuss their needs.

The board members and student members discussed topics on October 19 and 20, but the university administration claims that the individuals did not consent to the signing of the debate ‘ days.

On Wednesday, the college held a meeting with members of the high-level commission, deans, and other senior school officials, in order to discuss the recommendations and look into ways to restore order to campus, according to the university.

The administration claimed to have set up an emergency at the opposition site and that it had also deployed a medical group under the guidance of the chief medical officer to observe the health of the students on the hunger strike.

since October 12 to rally

Since October 12, individuals have been protesting at the Ghalib Lawns. The school claimed to have designated Gate No. 18 as a designated location for undergraduate demonstrations, while urging students to happily exercise their right to protest.

During the demonstration, the presidency expressed concern about the alleged damage to the Ghalib monument, school gates, walls, and other facilities.

The university said it would continue to work with the Jamia Act, appropriate laws and statutes, court rulings, and Lyngdoh Committee recommendations.

The most recent action comes as a result of expectations for the institution’s almost 20-year-old elected students ‘ union to be reinstated.

Student representatives claimed that the measures failed to fulfill their three main demands: the immediate release of the 2026-27 student union elections routine, the withdrawal of the disciplinary action against protesters, and the removal of the Chief Proctor and Security Advisor.

They argued that the decision to create a new committee to draft the government’s law by December 20 was a postponing strategy, and they also objected to the Chief Proctor’s warning, which stated that any trigger arising after 5:30 pm on Wednesday may result in strict disciplinary action.

The students claimed that the school wouldn’t release the JMISU vote notification and schedule until the university’s endless hunger strike, which started on October 12.
