Courtney and Sev have stormed to victory on The Block, pocketing a huge $1.27 million profit after their Mount Eliza home sold for a massive $4.72 million in Sunday night’s finale.
The best friends were in tears after their House 4 auction delivered the standout result of the night, comfortably securing the win in a season where buyers turned up ready to spend and every team walked away with serious money.
Their triumph came after a tense lead-up to auction day, with new Victorian rules forcing reserve prices into the open a week early.
Each home had a reserve of $3.45 million, although Rick and Tayla had trimmed theirs by $50,000 after winning the final front yard and facade challenge.
That public reserve figure had raised questions over whether buyers might hold back. Instead, the finale delivered a far brighter result than last year’s bruising finish, when two homes were passed in and profits were far thinner.
Adam and Jolene set the tone early. The cattle station managers, first to auction, got off to a flying start when an opening bid from regular Block buyer Danny Wallis immediately put them above reserve.
Their home eventually sold for $3.955 million, handing them a profit of $455,000.
Courtney and Sev followed and quickly blew past that mark. Their auction gathered speed in a rush, climbing well beyond half a million dollars in profit before finishing at $4.72 million.
The result left Scott Cam convinced the title was theirs, telling the pair they could “tack on the grand prize”.

Lisa and Rosco then added one of the night’s more memorable moments. Just eight days after welcoming their second son, Jude Ross, Lisa returned for auction day with the newborn by her side.
The West Australian couple endured the longest auction in the show’s history, with more than 100 bids over 40 minutes before their home sold for $4 million, earning them a $550,000 profit.
Rosco greeted the result with a muttered, “Not bad for a s**t ensuite,” in a pointed parting shot after a season of judging highs and lows.
Chantel and Wyatt went into the finale under a cloud after concerns about buyer interest in House 2 and a difficult season in which they failed to win a single room reveal.
But their auction still delivered a solid result, with the home selling for $3.817 million and returning a profit of $367,000.

Rick and Tayla, the father-daughter team in House 5, were last to face the market and needed a huge result to chase down Courtney and Sev.
Their property surged past $4 million, with the pair becoming increasingly emotional as the bidding climbed higher, before selling for $4.355 million, locking in a profit of $905,000 and second place overall.
That left Courtney and Sev as the clear winners of the season, with the biggest payday of the night.
