Acharya Pramod Krishnam, Peethadhishwar of Kalki Dham in Uttar Pradesh’s Sambhal, has alleged that he received a death threat from a person claiming to be associated with the banned Khalistani terrorist organisation Babbar Khalsa International.
Krishnam said a threatening audio message was sent to him on WhatsApp two days ago from an international number. According to him, the caller identified himself as Kulbir Singh Sidhu and threatened to blow him up using bombs and rocket launchers.

Krishnam held a press conference at Kalki Dham and shared details of the alleged threat. He said the audio, which was in Punjabi, had been forwarded to the Union Home Ministry, Uttar Pradesh Police, Punjab Police and Sambhal police officials.
He alleged that the threat was linked to his decision to install a statue of Sikh warrior and former Sikh guru Guru Gobind Singh at Kalki Dham. Krishnam said he had made a commitment to install the statue along with representations of other revered figures and would not back down from it.
“If my life is sacrificed, the construction of Kalki Dham should not stop,” Krishnam said, appealing to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to ensure that the project continues.
Krishnam also claimed that the person sending the audio identified himself as a Babbar Khalsa operative and referred to past violent incidents. These claims have not been independently verified.
He said he had previously received calls from international numbers but had not taken them seriously. The latest audio, however, prompted him to approach security agencies and police authorities.
The foundation stone of Kalki Dham in Sambhal’s Aichoda Kamboh was laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 19, 2024, in the presence of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
