GWS coach Adam Kingsley dismissed any player division at the Giants after reports of Jake Stringer’s collapsed business venture.
Stringer leads the Giants for goals this year but remains without a contract for next season.
Multiple reports suggested Stringer eroded his teammates’ trust after his financial investment failed.
The business project reportedly involved a fish oil product that some players and coaches from GWS and Stringer’s former club Essendon invested in.
It’s been reported that no one is out of pocket, as Stringer has paid those who invested back.
Kingsley spoke succinctly on the topic on Friday morning, denying any “obvious” issues inside the four walls.
“Yeah, no concerns from my areas,” Kingsley said.
“The issues, to me, don’t appear obvious and I don’t think it’s impacted our locker room at all.
“That’s what is reported but I don’t see it.”
Stringer started his career at the Western Bulldogs, winning the 2016 premiership, before moving to Essendon and then GWS.
The Giants have also been linked to Richmond veteran Dion Prestia, who worked closely with Kingsley at Punt Rd during the Tigers’ run of premierships.
Prestia, 33, is out of contract at Richmond at season’s end.
Kingsley didn’t refute any interest in Prestia and instead said it was one for a later date.
“That’s an end-of-the-season conversation and I haven’t spoken to Dion but I did see the photo of the giant meatball or whatever it was,” he said.
“He’s a terrific player, he has been a terrific player for a long period of time.
“I don’t know what his plans are for next year, whether he wants to play or coach I am not sure.
“But, again, we’ll cross those bridges at the end of the season.”
GWS tackles Gold Coast Suns this weekend in a chance to keep its slim finals chances alive.
Those hopes have been boosted by the return of captain Toby Greene after his lay-off from an injured quad.
