Sydney Swans player Chad Warner has been spotted in public again as the fallout from the incident at the Pullman Hotel last month continues.
The 25-year-old was spotted near a car outside his home in Paddington on Thursday, just one day after he was seen heading to Malabar Beach in Sydney’s eastern suburbs.
And on Tuesday was spotted walking alongside girlfriend Alice Hughes before returning to their shared home.
Warner is one of five Swans serving a club-imposed suspension for breaching club behavioural standards.
Warner, Isaac Heeney, Riley Bice, Nick Blakey and James Jordon are all suspended for the rest of the season after they partied all night at the Melbourne hotel the night of their win against Essendon last month.
It included bringing women back to a hotel room.
The club-imposed bans are separate from an ongoing Victoria Police investigation into sexual assault allegations made by topless waitresses at the hotel.
This masthead is not suggesting the players are guilty of any wrongdoing, just that they are assisting police with enquiries.
Warner’s latest appearance comes after Bice is now being treated as a witness to an alleged sexual assault said to have happened inside a hotel room after formal interviews were conducted.
The players have denied criminal wrongdoing, and no charges have been laid in relation to the police investigation, and The West Australian is not suggesting any criminal wrongdoing by any of the players interviewed.
Sydney coach Dean Cox said on Thursday that Bice, along with Heeney, Warner, Jordon and Blakey, will remain suspended regardless and is unsure if or when any of the players will be brought back into the club.
Cox did not reveal if the club had conducted its own drug testing amid claims illicit drugs were present in the hotel.
He is maintaining contact with all five players but operating purely from a welfare standpoint while defending the culture of the club.
According to The Age, Blakey has “indicated to associates” that he wants to be traded out of the NSW club because of a deterioration in his relationship with the Swans.
Blakey explored a trade to the Gold Coast in 2025 because his girlfriend, Olympic runner Ella Connolly, relocated to Queensland, The Age reported.
