After sending half the internet into a meltdown with their Koffee With Karan appearance, Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan were back in the spotlight, this time at Manish Malhotra’s annual Diwali party. Hosted at the designer’s Mumbai residence, the intimate bash mostly saw members of his close-knit circle in attendance. Bebo opted for a rather trademark Manish Malhotra look – a shimmering champagne sequinned saree. Accompanying her was husband Saif, who kept his festive look simple and understated.

Kareena wore a sheer champagne-gold saree covered in tiny, closely arranged circular sequins. The all-over embellishment gives the drape a reflective, metallic finish. The saree’s muted gold tone adds to its understated glamour, while the pallu falls neatly over her shoulder, not in pleats, but in an open drape style. She paired it with a halter-neck blouse featuring thin, embellished straps. The blouse has a deep, plunging neckline and an open-shoulder silhouette. Its relatively minimal design lets the heavily embellished saree take centre stage.
Kareena went with bronzed, glowing skin, a hint of blush and a glossy nude-peach lip. Her eye makeup featured dark kohl, smoky brown eyeshadow and defined lashes, adding just the right amount of drama. She left her long, dark brown hair open, styled with a side part and a smooth, voluminous finish. The softly flowing lengths complemented the saree without making the overall look too elaborate.
The actor kept her accessories minimal, opting for sparkling stud earrings and delicate rings. She skipped a statement necklace, which made sense with the halter neckline and embellished straps already drawing attention to the upper half of the outfit.
Saif was dressed for the evening in a navy-bluer kurta and white pants. Minimal, but can’t say underdressed.
The intimate gathering nevertheless saw several familiar faces from the film fraternity. Nita Ambani, Aditya Roy Kapur, Ananya Birla, Twinkle Khanna, Akshay Kumar and their son Aarav Kumar were among those who attended. Suhana Khan and Janhvi Kapoor also made an appearance, looking absolutely breathtaking in their stunning Diwali outfits.
