In Nagarkurnool area, the Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) nabbed two forest representatives from the Lingala Forest Office for allegedly accepting a bribe of Inr. 50, 000.
Forest Section Officer Ram Babu and Forest Beat Officer Murali Krishna have been identified as the accused. When the plaintiff and others were reportedly intercepted on July 23 while they were delivering wood from the Nallamala Forest, they allegedly threatened to file a lawsuit and capture the bullock wagons if the reward was not received.
They immediately requested Rs 1.2 million, but they later agreed to Rupees 50, 000. The plaintiff transferred another Rs 28 000 over PhonePe and gave Rs 22, 000 in dollars.
The accused then demanded an additional Rs. 6, 000 for the production of an established ticket.
They are being held on criminal trial in Nampally before a particular ACB judge. A second research is being conducted.
