Australia has won the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in commanding style, defeating England by seven wickets in the final at Lord’s.
After winning the toss and sending England into bat, Australia restricted the hosts to 4/150 from their 50 overs.
After losing opener Georgia Voll (9) in the second over, Beth Mooney and Phoebe Litchfield put on a century partnership to set up Australia’s successful run chase.
Mooney top-scored with 64 as Australia finished the tournament undefeated from seven matches.
This is Australia’s seventh Women’s T20 World Cup title out of the 10 that have been played.
