A woman working with quick-service platform Snabbit is earning Rs 30,000 to Rs 40,000 a month, according to a senior company executive. Her income, combined with her auto-driver husband’s earnings, has taken their household income to Rs 80,000 to Rs 1 lakh a month and helped them enrol their child in a school charging Rs 1.5 lakh a year.
Sai Kiran Singanamala, Senior Director at Snabbit, shared the story on LinkedIn after speaking to the woman, who had joined the platform just four months earlier.

According to Singanamala, the woman told him that she could now afford to put her child in a school with annual fees of Rs 1.5 lakh.
Her husband works as an auto driver. Together, they now earn around Rs 80,000 to Rs 1 lakh every month, he said.
The woman’s own income is around Rs 30,000 to Rs 40,000 a month.
For the family, that extra income appears to have meant more than a higher monthly figure. It has opened up the possibility of spending more on the child’s education while giving the woman her own source of earnings.

Singanamala said the conversation made him realise how much a woman earning Rs 30,000 to Rs 40,000 can change a family’s life.
