Bengaluru: On October 20, an alleged personal conflict between a family and a building owner reportedly caused the explosion at a construction site in Pulakeshinagar. According to Police Commissioner Seemant Kumar Singh, three people have been detained by Bengaluru East Division police for allegedly plotting to kill a security guard by sending him an IED-containing package.

Zahidul Hussain Barbhuiya, 27, Sajidul Lashkar, 22, and Burhan Ahmed Barbhuiya, 20, both from Deenanathpur in Assam, are the arrested.

According to police investigations, Allaudin and Zahidul Hussain, both of whom worked as security guards at the tower, were related but had grown increasingly hostile due to property and financial disputes. Allaudin is alleged to have also been at fault for the collapse of his daughter’s marriage. According to the officers, he may have planned the attack based on these problems.

According to the investigation, Zahidul reportedly used a WhatsApp party to coordinate his actions with Sajidul and Burhan. Burhan, who only had a course 8 education and worked as a electrician and engineer in the Maski, Raichur district, supposedly used online resources and chatbots based on artificial intelligence to study bomb-making methods.

According to the officers, Burhan transported the violent package by bus from Raichur to Bengaluru from where it was found. He reportedly stayed at a hotel that Sajidul had set up before moving in and delivered the item to the building site.

Allaudin reportedly received the package after the conspirators contacted him using a unique cellular phone. Suraj Kumar, a painting employed in the building, received it afterwards.
