Bethenny Frankel has alleged she had something “major” diagnosed by a team of doctors.
The reality star told her fans on Instagram that she had “joined a medical community” that has “teams of doctors that sort of cross reference your markers, your labs, longevity”.
Bethenny added that the health service, available in your home, is “legitimate” and “not just some vanity BS concierge doctor”.
However, during the medical investigations, the 55-year-old claims she was “misdiagnosed with something pretty major”.
She didn’t go into further details about the alleged misdiagnosis, but urged fans to seek further medical advice if they are concerned about a potential misdiagnosis.
She said: “Be very thorough in your labs, your check ups, your second, third opinions, your crowd sourcing of opinions.”
Bethenny also said you shouldn’t “believe everything you hear on the internet”.
She sighed: “Everybody is saying that they have everything. I’m very confused because I was operating with an idea that I do have this and I don’t want to throw anybody under the bus.
“I tried to do the right thing and it’s very confusing. I just think there’s nothing we should be more thorough about than our medical care, our health and just think about it.”
Going forward, Bethenny is planning to be more “thorough” about her health, and urged others to do the same.
She suggested: “Get a notebook out and whatever it is you think you have or someone said that you have or symptoms you are experiencing.
“We are so thorough about restaurants, shoppings and other things … I think we need to be thorough about our health.”
Weighing in on Bethenny’s video, one person wrote in the comments section: “Couldn’t agree more.
“The best health decisions aren’t one-size-fits-all. They’re built around your biology, your data, and what makes you unique.”
As another added: “You are so right about misdiagnoses and about advocating for yourself and about doing your own research!”
Bethenny revealed earlier this year that she’s been diagnosed with stage 2 chronic kidney disease, although it’s unclear whether or not this is the diagnosis to which she was referring.
