Hyderabad: On Monday, July 6, the Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested suspended Deputy Superintendent of Police ( DSP) Bheem Reddy in a breakthrough in the disproportionate assets case.
Telangana ACB had recently carried out intensive raids at his homes, offices, and almost 20 different connected locations.
According to sources, the DSP resided in a luxurious palace with an estimated Rs 8 billion. Officials are currently evaluating the total price of the assets and reviewing economic records, property records, and other pertinent materials.
Documents and information obtained during the raids were examined, and the arrest was made. Prior to the searches, ACB had reported that reported assets worth almost Rs 300 million were discovered, which was thought to be disproportional to his known sources of income.
The ACB filed the case under the provisions of the 1988 Prevention of Corruption Act, as amended in 2018, Sections 13 ( 1 ) ( b ) and 13 ( 2 ).
