BEAUDEN BARRETT! That’s the icing on the cake of a spectacular first half for the All Blacks.

The All Blacks fullback had run 75 metres to score. He’s intercepted Max Jorgensen and outpaced Tom Wright to score the All Blacks’ sixth try. Ugly, seriously ugly.

Then Damian McKenzie bangs it over from the sideline.

A minute or two after scoring, Jeremy Williams has been sent to the sin bin.

The lock was pinged for being offside when the All Blacks were red hot and sniffing a fifth try for the half. Luke Pearce didn’t hesitate going to the pocket.

The All Blacks then score seconds later from the scrum. Wallace Sititi burst off the back of the scrum and makeshift flanker Isaac Henry – the usual No.12 – had no idea and was still scrummaging when his counterpart scored. It’s not good.

The Wallabies have one try back. Jeremy Williams runs a good line to score next to the sticks.

The big lock burst onto an offload from Declan Meredith.

Dear oh dear, the All Blacks have a fourth. This time it’s Rieko Ioane.

The replacement centre has the pace and power to score out wide. It’s a demolition early in Sydney. The try came after the Wallabies lost a lineout and the All Blacks showed some patience, before McKenzie freed up Will Jordan.

It’s 22-0 after 26 minutes.

Australia 0, New Zealand 22 – 27th minute

Gee, 20 minutes in and the All Blacks have a third try. It’s 15-0 kick to come.

Peter Lakai has his second try. The All Blacks got on the edge of the Wallabies and then exploded back into the middle through Damian McKenzie. A few phases later and Lakai – the flanker – has his second. McKenzie this time makes no mistake either.

The All Blacks are humming in the Sydney sunshine.

Australia 0, New Zealand 17 – 21st minute

The All Blacks have crossed for another. This time it’s Beauden Barrett.

The Wallabies have had their chances but the All Blacks are making it count when they get inside the opposition 22. Fortunately, Damian McKenzie has missed two kicks out wide.

Australia 0, New Zealand 10 – 19th minute

The All Blacks have scored first. It took them 15 phases. Harry Potter rushed out in defence and in the end Josh Moorby – the Hurricanes winger – scores the opening try.

The Wallabies should be filthy. They had all the early running but couldn’t make the most of it.

Australia 0, New Zealand 5 –13th minute

The Wallabies are using the ball early. They’ve already made a couple of linebreaks, with Max Jorgensen and Tom Wright finding themselves in space. But after 13 phases they couldn’t come up with the killer blow as Peter Lakai made a crucial turnover.

Australia 0, New Zealand 0 – 10th minute

The All Blacks have suffered an early setback with outside centre Quinn Tupaea forced to go for a HIA. He was forced off after just 90 seconds after suffering some whip lash out wide after being bundled into touch.

Fortunately, Dave Rennie can bring Rieko Ioane on at 13.
