Hyderabad’s Chief Electoral Officer C Sudarshan Reddy led a high-level video conference on Monday, August 24 with city election officers, registrars, and city election officials. The video conference examined the behavior of the Gram and Ward Sabhas throughout the state.
The meeting’s topic of conversation was the operation of Gram or Ward Sabhas in all state-wide polling places and political spin issues. The CEO gave directions to the Rights, Love, and AEROs regarding the Gram/Ward Sabhas, as well as the release of notices and the keeping of hearings for voters with irregularities and natural discrepancies in their records.
During the Gram/Ward Sabhas, one of the instructions from the CEO was for relevant booth-level officers ( BLOs ) to publicly read out the information about voters who had absent, shifted, deaf, and duplicated ( ASDD ) during the polls. He said that the names of the people who were included must also be read loudly.
Reddy argued that entrants ‘ names must be matched and examined when applying online or offline despite having applied for a position that was not on the document electoral roll.
The authorities were instructed to raise awareness among eligible citizens who turn 18 by October 1st, 2026, to send Form 6 and the required supporting documentation to put their names on the electoral move.
Also, the people may be informed of Form 8 for corrections and Form 7 for names deletion.
Additionally, the leaders were instructed to provide information to the electorate regarding the documents required by the Election Commission of India (ECI). The BLO capturing every detail and the Unique Intensive Revision of the electoral rolls, according to CEO Reddy, may be discussed in these discussions.
The electoral officials were instructed to communicate lists of anomalies and” No Mapping” cases to the relevant political parties right away, and steps must be taken to maintain regular meetings with the parties.
Eventually, the CEO reviewed the position of the process for generating notices and serving, the manner of sessions, and plans for Gram/Ward Sabhas with the Copyright of all districts.
