A childcare centre south of Brisbane has been destroyed in an early morning fire, with police launching an investigation into how it began.
At least six fire crews were called to the address on Juers Street at Kingston in Logan about 1am.
The building partially collapsed, and it took almost an hour to bring the fire under control. No injuries were reported.
The Treehouse Early Learning Centre is the only large childcare facility on the street.
Parents and carers were told the facility was closed and to make other arrangements.
Police confirmed on Monday morning the property was a crime scene, and investigators had been brought in.
Fire crews were still on the scene more than six hours after the fire broke out.
The blaze occurred just days after another major fire just over three kilometres away that put parts on the suburb into lockdown.
