Australian star Dr Chris Brown’s cheeky comment has left Robert Irwin chuckling on the red carpet at the night of nights in Australian television.

Sophie Monk, Sam Armytage, Miranda Tapsell and Lisa Millar are among the Aussie celebrities who turned up in style at the 2026 Logie Awards on Sunday afternoon.

Robert Irwin will host the ceremony on Sunday evening, but he was left laughing while walking the red carpet as Dr Chris Brown asked if he was planning on reuniting Tim Webster with a snake on stage after his father’s stunt at the 2003 Logies.

Steve Irwin had brought out a live snake on stage which went on to bite Webster.

“I mean, surely that’s got to happen,” Irwin replied.

“And if there are any animal malfunctions, I know you got my back, mate.”

“I appreciate that. A bit of e-reptile dysfunction, if you will,” Brown replied.

Sporting a shining gold dress to match the category she is up for a gong in, Millar was cool and collected as she walked the red carpet at The Star in Sydney.

“It has been such a fun night. It is such a privilege to be nominated once, to be nominated twice for the Gold Logie, honestly it’s a real thrill,” Millar told the ABC on Sunday.

“And tonight has been really cool, I am so chilled. Last year, a little overwhelming on the red carpet, I’ll admit. This year, I’m like pfft. I mean, I’m even wearing gold, that is how chilled I am!”

Millar is nominated for the Gold Logie for Most Popular Personality on Australian Television, with Logies host Robert Irwin also up for the accolade.

Sonia Kruger and Nine’s Peter Overton are among other stars who went all out on the red carpet, with Kruger turning heads in a glittery gown.

Asher Keddie, who starred in the hit Aussie drama Offspring, and more recently Strife, was asked whether her home is “covered in red carpet” by now given she has won seven Logies in the past and is now nominated for an eighth.

“Oh certainly not my house, no — I’m not even popular in my house! No, I am,” Keddie joked on the red carpet.

She revealed she has a new pool room that would suit an extra Logie Award.

“I think (a potential eighth Logie would) just join the others for company … We have a really cool room now, like a pool room, and they just fit nicely in there,” she said.

Young star Eloise Hart, who is nominated for a Logie at just 10-years-old for her work on the program Goolago, says she would “cry” if she still had to go to school tomorrow after the awards during a chat with host Chris Brown.

“If I do I’m gonna cry,” Hart said.

“I’ll be exhausted.”
