Hyderabad: In view of the Mahila Sadassu being held at the Parade Grounds in Secunderabad on June 9 as part of the state government’s ‘Praja Palana Pragathi Pranalika’ programme; the general public have been advised to avoid roads from Punjagutta-Greenlands-Begumpet towards Secunderabad between 2 pm and 9 pm on Tuesday, June 9, as traffic congestion has been foreseen in the surrounding areas of the venue.
In a traffic advisory issued on Monday, June 8 by Malkajgiri Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) for Traffic, it has been informed that the road between Tivoli X Roads to Plaza X Roads will be closed.
Traffic congestion is expected in the main junctions including Sangeet X Roads, YMCA X Roads, Patny X Roads, SBI X Roads, Plaza, CTO Junction, Brookbond Junction, Tivoli Junction, Sweekar Upakar Junction, Secunderabad Club, Tarbund X Roads, Balamrai X Roads, Paradise, Rasoolpura and Begumpet.
The daily commuters for work have been requested to start early to reach the railway station and bus stations in time, and have also been advised to use the Hyderabad Metro Rail service.
Traffic diversions
Traffic coming from Begumpet towards Sangeeth X roads will be diverted at CTO X Roads towards Balamrai-Brooke Bond-Tivoli-Sweeker Upakar-YMCA-St John’s Rotary; towards Sangeeth X Roads.
Traffic coming from Karkhana, JBS towards SBI-Patny will be diverted at Sweekar Upakar , towards YMCA-Clock Tower-Patny, or towards Tivoli-Brook Bond-Balamrai-CTO.
Traffic coming from RP Road towards SBI X Roads will be diverted at Patny X Roads towards Paradise.
Traffic coming from Sangeeth C Roads towards Begumpet will be diverted at YMCA towards Clock Tower-Patny-Paradise-CTO-Rasoolpura; towards Begumpet.
Traffic coming from Bowenpally, Tadbund, towards Tivoli will be diverted at Brook Bond towards CTO-Ranigunj-Tankbund.
Traffic coming from Patny, vehicles will not be allowed towards SBH-Sweekar Upakar, the same will be diverted towards Clock Tower-YMCA or Paradise-CTO.
Traffic coming from RTA Trimulgherry, Karkhana towards Plaza will be diverted at Tivoli towards Sweekar Upakar, YMCA, or Brook Bond, Balamrai, CTO.
If the traffic is congested at Tivoli and Club-in, the traffic will be diverted towards Bowenpally Market and AOC.
