Members and supporters of the CJP held a Tiranga march in Bengaluru on Friday after the police granted permission with several conditions, news agency Press Trust of India reported.
The march was organised in solidarity with CJP co-convener Ashutosh Ranka and spokesperson Saurav Das, who were sent to five-day judicial custody in Delhi on October 14 for allegedly violating peace bonds and entering Jantar Mantar, which is no longer designated as a protest site.

According to the organisers, the march was initially scheduled to begin at Town Hall at 4 pm and end at the Quit India Memorial. The participants, however, gathered after the police allowed them to hold the march between 5 pm and 6.30 pm.
The organisers said they were conducting only a peaceful march. The police barred them from holding any protest or symbolic protest at Town Hall, along the route or near the Quit India Memorial.
The march was held amid police security. When some CJP members raised slogans against a political party, senior officers at the spot warned them and asked them to continue the march peacefully, PTI reported.
A copy of the police permission shared by the organisers said participants were prohibited from raising slogans against any political party, organisation, community or individual. They were also barred from displaying protest placards, banners or other material that could disturb public peace.
The organisers were directed to ensure that the march did not obstruct public or vehicular traffic. They were also asked to comply with a Karnataka High Court order restricting protests, processions, rallies and similar activities in Bengaluru to Freedom Park.
The permission stated that legal action would be initiated if the conditions linked to the High Court order were violated while assembling near Town Hall, during the march or while concluding it near the Quit India Memorial.
The march was organised in association with Jagruta Karnataka, AISA Karnataka and My Vote, My Right.
Das and Ranka were lodged in Tihar Jail after being accused of violating their peace bonds and trespassing into Jantar Mantar. They had signed bonds to maintain peace for a year after being detained the previous week.
The Tiranga march was thus held under police security and with restrictions on protests, slogans and displays, in solidarity with Das and Ranka.
