On Sunday, July 5, Bengaluru’s Chief Minister DK Shivakumar stated that all ministerial appointments may be made by the Congress’s great command and that party workers should refrain from putting pressure on by organizing delegations to support specific legislators.
After meeting him at his personal property in Bengaluru, Congress MLA Vijayanand Kashappanavar’s supporters demanded that their chief be accession-ready.
Shivakumar assured the committee that he would talk their opinions to the celebration leadership when he addressed them. He also made an appeal to state-wide Congress personnel not to make him any other requirements at the same time.
” I will undoubtedly speak your thoughts to the group authority. I ask that no one else travel with follower delegations seeking governmental berths, though. The high demand considers a variety of elements when making these decisions, he said.
The Chief Minister made the point that there are only a few supervisory positions in the cabinet and that maintaining a balance between expert legislators as well as young ones is a must.
He claimed that some Members, including first-time members and senior politicians, aspire to be ministers, but not everyone can become accommodated. Only one person can hold the position, as some legislators may wish to get Chief Minister. We must adhere to the group’s organizational code, he continued.
Shivakumar recalled that he himself entered the Cabinet at a younger age and that he had always encouraged youthful authority. He emphasized the need for endurance and that only the party leadership would be able to determine the structure and timing of any Cabinet expansion.
The Chief Minister acknowledged Vijayanand Kashappanavar’s contributions to the Dalit community through his organizational work, open engagement, and responsibilities that the government had given him. He described him as a nearby affiliate.
He also praised the party workers ‘ sense of community in the area, and advised them to concentrate on strengthening the Congress organization and guaranteeing the group’s success in the 2028 Assembly elections rather than making governmental meetings.
