A couple have been hospitalised after a large group of men broke into a home in Sydney’s west in a “targeted” incident.
Police were called to a unit on Fairfield Rd in Guildford West about 10pm Sunday night, where a 42-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman said they had been assaulted.
Officers were told a group of “about eight men” forced their way into the home through the front door and assaulted both the man and woman before leaving the area in two vehicles.
The couple were treated by paramedics at the scene and taken to Westmead Hospital in stable condition.
Both vehicles were last seen travelling north along Fairfield Rd, police allege.
Police say the incident is “believed to be targeted”.
No arrests have been made.
