Hyderabad: The Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) is planning to set up Wi-Fi-enabled parks equipped with free Wi-Fi, power outlets, seating and coffee kiosks.

According to the CMC, the project is part of the corporation’s plan to develop 300 new parks across Cyberabad in 2026.

Under the ‘Work from Park’ concept, certain parks will offer facilities for freelancers, students, startup teams and remote workers to work in a green, open environment.

Tentatively, the proposed amenities include tiered seating, benches, closed-circuit television cameras, walking tracks and kiosks selling coffee and snacks.

The civic body has identified Madhava Hills Colony and Masjid Banda in the Serilingampally zone, and Madhapur in the Kukatpally zone, for the initiative.

The proposed Madhava Hills Colony park will cover around 1.5 acres, with approximately 700 square yards earmarked as a workspace. Designs have been prepared for the Madhapur location.

The CMC will introduce standardised information boards at civic work sites, displaying project costs, executing agencies, officials’ contact details and completion timelines.

QR codes linked to the CureOne app will allow residents to lodge complaints and report quality issues.

A box drain and cement and concrete road project near Venkateshwara Colony in Serilingampally, with a contract value of Rs. 46.31 lakh, was showcased as an example.

The corporation said six major junctions are being developed under its Safer Junctions initiative, while 74 critical junctions have been identified for redevelopment. The event will also feature exhibitions, discussions and a Mobility Innovation Challenge.
