Arun Matheswaran’s DC, starring Lokesh Kanagaraj and Wamiqa Gabbi, saw a dip at the box office on its fifth day. The Tamil action drama, starring Lokesh Kanagaraj and Wamiqa Gabbi, crossed the Rs 50-crore mark globally in five days. The film collected an estimated Rs 5.40 crore India nett (gross minus taxes) on Tuesday, taking its five-day domestic total to Rs 32.35 crore.

According to trade website Sacnilk, Tuesday’s collection saw a 10 per cent dip from Monday, when DC earned nearly Rs 6 crore. The film had 4,713 shows across India on its first Tuesday. With the latest figures, DC’s India gross collection stands at Rs 37.21 crore. The film has also earned Rs 14.50 crore from overseas markets, taking its worldwide gross to Rs 51.71 crore.
DC maintains hold on Day 5
The Tamil version continued to lead the film’s performance, recording an overall occupancy of 39.35 per cent on Tuesday. Night shows registered the highest occupancy at 53.15 per cent, followed by afternoon shows at 36.92 per cent, evening shows at 34.77 per cent and morning shows at 23.92 per cent.
The Telugu version recorded 24.78 per cent overall occupancy, while the Hindi version registered 14.13 per cent.
In terms of collections, the Tamil version contributed Rs 3.65 crore to Tuesday’s India nett, while the Telugu version earned Rs 1.50 crore nett. The Hindi version added Rs 25 lakh nett at the domestic box office.

DC recorded a combined gross collection of Rs 6.20 crore across India on Day 5. Tamil Nadu contributed Rs 1.75 crore, while Kerala followed with Rs 1.85 crore. Andhra Pradesh and Telangana together contributed Rs 1.60 crore, Karnataka added Rs 65 lakh and the rest of India contributed Rs 35 lakh.
The film earned Rs 1.25 crore from overseas markets on Tuesday, taking its cumulative overseas gross to Rs 14.50 crore.

Helmed by Arun Matheswaran, DC follows Devadas (Lokesh), an outcast who sets out on a quest for redemption and justice after taking revenge on those who wronged an innocent family. A bloody, gory reinterpretation of Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay’s Devdas, the film also features Wamiqa Gabbi, Sanjana Krishnamoorthy, Krish Dayal, Avinash Raghudevan and Thalaivasal Vijay in key roles.
