According to police, the incident took place within the Prem Nagar police station limits after an argument broke out over a vehicle being parked on the road and demands to move it.

PISTOL DISPLAYED DURING CONFRONTATION

Police said the argument quickly escalated into a physical altercation. During the confrontation, one of the men reportedly displayed his licensed pistol in an attempt to intimidate another person involved in the dispute.

The video shows the groups fighting in the middle of the road, leading to a brief disruption in the area.

Prem Nagar police station in-charge Naresh Rathore said immediate action was taken after the incident and three people involved in the altercation were arrested.

Police said cases have been registered against the three accused in connection with the incident.

PISTOL, STICK AND FORTUNER RECOVERED

According to Dehradun Police, the three accused were involved in the fight that followed the dispute over moving the vehicle.

Police recovered the licensed pistol allegedly used during the confrontation, along with a stick and a Fortuner vehicle linked to the incident.

Authorities are also preparing a report seeking cancellation of the arms licence of the accused who displayed the pistol during the altercation.

Police said the action was taken against people from both sides of the dispute.

POLICE WARN AGAINST PUBLIC DISORDER

The incident has prompted police to reiterate that aggressive behaviour and violence in public places will invite strict action.

Officials said maintaining law and order in public spaces remains a priority and warned that people engaging in violence or creating disturbances would face legal consequences.

The police action comes after the video of the confrontation emerged on social media, showing the escalation of what began as a dispute over parking.

Investigators are examining the circumstances surrounding the altercation and the roles of those involved. Further action will be taken based on the investigation and available evidence.
