A sharp Monday dip hasn’t lasted long for Drishyam 3: The Conclusion. Ajay Devgn’s crime thriller picked up pace on its second Tuesday, October 13, with collections rising by 18 per cent to Rs 9.86 crore gross. The recovery comes at a crucial point in its theatrical run, with the film now looking to push its domestic nett earnings towards Rs 350 crore.

The Tuesday uptick follows a steep fall on Day 11, when the film’s collections took a hit. With Rs 9.86 crore coming in on Day 12, the film has regained some ground, although it still needs a steady run over the coming days to reach its next domestic milestone.

The bigger milestone, meanwhile, is already behind it. Drishyam 3: The Conclusion crossed Rs 500 crore worldwide on Monday, taking its global gross to Rs 501.80 crore. Of this, Rs 387.80 crore gross came from India, while overseas markets contributed Rs 114 crore gross.

The film’s domestic nett collections stand at Rs 323.50 crore across 186,838 shows, with the second-week update putting the total at Rs 323.86 crore. Either way, the Rs 350 crore mark remains within reach, provided the film manages to hold on to its audience through the second week and beyond.

That run began on a strong note on October 2, when the film opened with Rs 62 crore, marking the biggest opening day of Ajay Devgn’s career. It went on to collect Rs 176.50 crore over its opening weekend before wrapping up its first week with Rs 245.50 crore in domestic net earnings.

Directed by Abhishek Pathak, Drishyam 3: The Conclusion brings Vijay Salgaonkar’s story closer to its final chapter. Once again, Vijay finds himself dealing with the consequences of his past as the pressure from the law intensifies.

The film stars Ajay Devgn alongside Tabu, Shriya Saran, Jaideep Ahlawat and Prakash Raj. Backed by Star Studio18 and Panorama Studios, it marks the concluding instalment of the popular crime thriller franchise.

Pathak has co-written the film with Aamil Keeyan Khan and Parveez Shaikh. The producers are Alok Jain, Ajit Andhare, Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak.
