After years of separate plans for X and Grok, SpaceX is moving to a single subscription. The company has introduced the X Subscription, a single membership that covers its social platform, its AI chatbot and the coding tool Cursor. The biggest change is that you no longer have to choose between products. Anyone who wanted a checkmark on X and a premium Grok experience had to buy two plans. Now both sit under one tier.

The entry-level Plus plan costs $8 (around Rs 767) per month and combines Grok’s chat, voice, image and app-building tools with access to the Grok API and Cursor for coding. It also includes X Premium features, such as a verification checkmark, fewer ads and creator tools.

The higher-priced plans are designed for people who use these products more heavily. The $30 (roughly Rs 2,855) a month Premium plan adds Grok Bot, access to the latest Grok models, faster responses, and AI image and video generation. Cursor users also get features such as code hosting, cloud agents and automations.

The Super plan, priced at $100 (around Rs 9,516) per month, adds priority access to Grok models during peak hours. At the top end, the $200 Ultra plan (around Rs 19,031) offers early access to products and models.

Comparing price points, the old structure used to be apparently like a maze. X had three plans: Basic at $3 (around Rs 287), Premium at $8 (Rs 767) and Premium+ at $40 (around Rs 3,839) a month. Grok had its own: a free version, SuperGrok at $30 (around Rs 2,879), SuperGrok Plus at $100 (around Rs 9,599) and SuperGrok Heavy at $300 (around Rs 28,797) a month. That was seven options across two products, which could be a little confusing.

There is also a push toward workplaces. Premium, Super and Ultra will be available for teams, and enterprise customers can get custom plans. With Cursor in the mix, that could appeal to companies that want AI tools and developer software from one vendor. For the company, bundling could also be a way to get X’s existing paying users to try Grok and Cursor, rather than selling each product on its own.
