Perth influencer Em Davies has shut down rumours she has split with her husband, Joel Gambin, confirming they are still very much in love.
The couple’s relationship became the topic of online speculation after Influencer Updates Australia founder Amber Paul discussed break-up rumours on her podcast.
The Gambins have been together for more than a decade and tied the knot in February 2025 after getting engaged in New York two years before. They welcomed their daughter Isla in 2024.
Paul told her 68,000 Instagram followers that the couple had been “posting some very cryptic things this week that imply they’ve broken up, but then they’re saying they haven’t”.
She said Joel shared a song on his Instagram Story with sad lyrics about a relationship ending.
“It said ‘I need to be alone now, I need to be alone. Your love is not my lifeline; your love is not my home. Returning you your not mine to me you don’t belong I’m better on my own you’re better when I’m gone, and I’m so confused to all the pain and suffering you still want to stay with me I’m done with all this crisis, and I’m finally out of the dark I’m not what you need get away from me’.
“Weird to post that when you’re in a happily married relationship, then Em Davies was reposting stories, so she reposted one that said being single is okay as long as you have a bff to harass.”
Paul said Joel later posted a photo of Davies labelling her his “wife” with an arrow pointing to her face.
Joel also commented on Paul’s post about the rumour saying “I just like the song. I post songs most days.”
On Monday, Davies took to Instagram to immediately shut down rumours they had gone their separate ways.
“Just clearing this up because I’ve had some people send me this nonsense,” she began.
“Joel and I have never broken up. We’ve never separated. we’ve never even been close to breaking up.
“Please stop making up storylines based on assumptions. These’s no subliminal messages in the music we share or the quotes we like.
“We’re very happily married and very much in love and always have been.”
Davies ended her statement with a dig at people fuelling the rumour mill.
“Just imagine being that bored… yikes.”
