American lifestyle influencer Emilie Kiser has revealed she is pregnant 14 months after her firstborn, three-year-old Trigg, drowned in her family’s backyard pool.

The 27-year-old content creator, who boasts more than 7 million followers across TikTok, Instagram and YouTube, shared the exciting life update this week as she continues to grieve her toddler who died on May 18 in 2025.

The drowning happened while Kiser was out for dinner and her husband Brady was watching Trigg and their younger son Teddy, now one-year-old, when Trigg fell into the Arizona family’s unfenced pool.

Trigg tragically died in hospital six-days later.

Kiser told her fans that she was “so grateful and excited to share that we will be welcoming another baby into our family”.

“This news feels very surreal and has already been such a bright light to us during some of our darkest days,” she wrote on Instagram, alongside a photo of her growing baby bump.

After Trigg’s death, the former dancer told her followers that she would become more private in terms of what she posted on social media to protect the privacy of her family.

“As I stated last year, my family’s privacy will always be my priority. Because of that, I’m not sure how much I will be sharing about this pregnancy and next phase of life, but I appreciate your understanding as I navigate those boundaries,” she continued.

“This baby has already brought so much hope and joy into our home, and we are treasuring every moment of it together.

“Thank you in advance for all of the love, well wishes, and support as we navigate this next chapter of our growing family.”

According to a Chandler Police Department incident report, the family’s pool was usually protected by a net-like cover, though it had been removed for an upcoming clean, scheduled the day after the incident.

Brady initially told police he had lost sight of his son for three to five minutes before discovering him in the pool.

However, a report by the CPD later cited video evidence that Trigg “was in the backyard unsupervised for more than nine minutes, and in the water for about seven of those minutes.”

Police had recommended Brady be charged with felony child abuse but authorities did not go ahead with it because there was no “reasonable likelihood of a conviction”.

In Kiser’s first interview since Trigg’s death, she opened up on how she forgave Brady and even considered ending their marriage.

She eventually forgave Brady through empathy and respect and realising it could have just as easily being her in Brady’s situation.

“This could have just as easily been me in Brady’s position. Brady was taking care of our newborn child. When I left for dinner that night, he was de-thawing my breast milk, trying to get Teddy settled, a 5-week-old baby,” she told Jay Shetty’s On Purpose podcast.

“That doesn’t excuse anything. It doesn’t excuse what happened. It doesn’t excuse any of the series of events after that.

“But taking that accountability, along with all the other things I know I could have changed, gave me so much true, deep, real, raw empathy for him of, this could have been me.

“He’s going through so much as well, and . . . we are the only two people that can understand at all what the other person is going through.”
