Anna Van Patten has been “amazed” by Sydney Sweeney.

The actress stars alongside Sydney, 28, in the new season of Euphoria, the hit HBO teen drama, and Anna has admitted to being wowed by her co-star, who has enjoyed a meteoric rise in recent years.

Anna – who previously auditioned for Sydney’s character, Cassie Howard – told Bustle: “There’s another scene that I don’t know if it’s gonna make it, but I got to watch [Sydney] up close and personal do a stunt.

“I was amazed by her because she was just down to do it all by herself a hundred times, and each time it would get bigger and crazier.”

Anna finds it “fun” to watch Sydney on screen, but she’s determined to remain tight-lipped about the show’s plot.

The actress said: “She’s just so fun to watch. It might be in the finale, so I don’t know if I should give it away.”

Anna has also relished the experience of working with Zendaya, who plays Rue Bennett, a struggling drug-addicted teenager, in Euphoria.

Anna observed that Zendaya, 29, was a “warm presence to be around”.

The actress shared: “She was on my first day on set. She set the tone for the entire shooting process because she was so calm and present. I just felt super taken care of, and she was such a warm presence to be around.”

Meanwhile, Amanda Seyfied previously heaped praise on Sydney, describing her Housemaid co-star as a “sweetheart”.

The actress praised Sydney for how she’s coped with the pressures of fame and success.

She told Vanity Fair: “I don’t envy anything she’s going through.

“I’ve spent a lot of time with her; we just hit it off immediately. She’s a sweetheart. She’s a very generous, kind person at her core. I have to be honest: I did not have a moment like she’s having ever.

“[My Mean Girls costar] Lindsay Lohan, we’re buddies, and it’s really, really, really harmful to people to have that kind of overnight spotlight. Because any press, good or bad, is still a blinding spotlight, and you have to manoeuvre and negotiate your way around it and outside of it. It’s acrobatics that I don’t think most people are capable of figuring it out at that age.”
