“Lethal” Les Grantham, the bullet-riddled bikie left for dead with his tattoos burnt off outside Rockingham Hospital after a falling out with his gang has opened up about his darkest days.
In an exclusive sit-down interview with The West Australian, the exiled bikie made a devastating admission about his younger years, revealing a past involving childhood sexual abuse and a teenage meth habit.
He discussed how he became caught up in the Australian criminal underworld, revealing by his early teens he was on a highway to hell.
“Drugs became part of life — trips, dope, pills — and with that came stealing, burglaries, and trouble,” he said.
“I was suspended and eventually expelled from school. I later went to South Fremantle High School but only lasted part way through Year 9 before leaving and heading to TAFE.
He said his life of crime led him to inflict “violence in ways most people can’t imagine”.
“I’ve taken people’s legs out from them and I’ve been bashed in the head with a hammer 20 times.” he said.
“Prison, drugs, crime, extortions, violence, and destruction consumed my life for many years. I hurt a lot of people.”
