Sam Wood, accused of serious domestic violence, will no longer be welcome at the fitness company that shares his name after his sacking was announced on Tuesday.
DBG Health, which owns 28 by Sam Wood, announced in a statement on Tuesday the personal trainer was officially terminated following yesterday’s announcement he would step down “indefinitely” from his duties.
“Yesterday, DBG Health announced Mr Wood had been placed on indefinite leave,” the statement read.
“As a result of further considerations, DBG Health has now terminated all arrangements.
The fitness venture will continue to operate under chief executive Mark Watkin.”

Mr Wood sold the exercise and nutrition venture to myDNA Inc, parented by DBG Health, for $71m in 2022, but remained a public face and trainer with the company.
“28 will continue its great work under the leadership of Mark Watkin, supported by a broader group of experienced and respected health and wellness experts including trainers and employees,” the statement read.
“DBG Health does not tolerate domestic violence in any forms, and our thoughts are with people impacted by it.
“As the matter is before the court, DBG Health will make no further comment.”
Mr Wood was charged with two counts of domestic violence, being assault occasioning bodily harm (domestic violence) and strangulation in a domestic setting after an alleged incident in Noosa, on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, on Sunday.
The 46-year-old, who rose to fame on The Bachelor in 2015, remains behind bars on remand following his first court mention in Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Monday and is expected to apply for bail on Thursday.
Mr Wood has been married to his Bachelor match Snezana Wood since 2018.
Since news broke, multiple partner brands and celebrities have distanced themselves from the Melbourne fitness instructor.
Celebrity trainer Tiffiny Hall, whose workout videos appeared on 28 by Sam Wood pages, clarified in a statement on Monday night she had “no ongoing role or involvement with the (28) program”.

“I have zero tolerance for domestic and family violence, and for violence of any kind,” the statement read.
“It is unacceptable and entirely at odds with the standards, core values and culture I wish to cultivate.
“I am shocked and disturbed by the charges against Sam Wood reported in the media. As the matter is before the court, I will not comment on it.
“Before this news, my time with 28 by Sam Wood had already come to an end and I had moved on to focus on other projects.
“My thoughts are with any victim-survivors of domestic and family violence, and with anyone distressed or triggered by these reports.
“I will continue to empower women to be safe, strong and supported in any way I can.”
Ms Hall prominently promotes women’s safety and self-defence on her social media.
Former Pretty Little Liars and Home and Away star Tammin Sursok, who previously appeared in promotional videos for 28 by Sam Wood, alerted her social media followers she would be pausing her business relationship with the company.
“I want to be clear that I have zero tolerance for domestic and family violence. It’s an issue I care deeply about, and one that I will always stand firmly against,” she said in the statement.
“In light of the reports, I have immediately paused my partnership with 28 by Sam Wood and removed related promotional content from my social channels while this matter is before the courts.
“My thoughts are with anyone impacted by domestic and family violence.”

Mr and Mrs Wood released a joint statement to their individual social media pages on Monday regarding the arrest.
“This is a difficult time for all of us, we are working through this as a family and are thoroughly co-operating with the authorities,” the statement read.
Mr Wood is due to appear in Maroochydore Magistrates Court for a bail application on Thursday.
On Monday, his lawyer advised he would be defending the charges.
