Hyderabad: On Wednesday, October 14, the Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency ( HYDRAA ) announced that farmers had voluntarily donated 70 acres of land in Kapra Lake’s Full Tank Level (FTL ) to allow the agency to manage its development.
At Rs 35 million, the river is being developed. The river will become a nomadic bird habitat as a result of HYDRAA’s efforts.
One of the 14 lakes that HYDRAA is currently renovating is the 112 hectares lake. About 60 % of the development work has been completed.
The federal government also recognizes the vegetation as a crucial location for maintaining metropolitan ecological balance. According to the organization, it is home to 470 different migrant bird varieties that come from Australia, Europe, and several other locations around the world.
The river will aid in wildlife conservation, groundwater recharge, and flood prevention once it has been completely restored. Additionally, HYDRA is installing strong inlet-outlet systems, strong landscaping, and walking lines around the lake.
